“Since his first days as a member of the Forest Preserve Commission, Bob has shown a dedication to making DuPage County a model for conservation.“

I am Bob Schillerstrom and I am excited about the opportunity to serve as President of the DuPage County Forest Preserve District.

My career has revolved around environmental issues, including serving as Commissioner and President of the Naperville Park District, President of the Conservation Foundation, Member of the DuPage Forest Preserve District, and a Trustee for the Morton Arboretum. I have also served as DuPage County Board Chairman and Chariman of the Illinois Tollway.

I believe that families are the foundation of our great County. It is critical to me that we have the very best Forest Preserve Distrct for our familites and visitors. I want to expand our treescape, protect and preserve our open space and continue to clean-up our waterways. It is also a priority for me to ensure our forest preserves and recreational offerings are accessible to people at every level of ability.

To me conservation, preservation and environmental protection have been hallmarks of my public service career. I look forward to discussing these issues with the voters of DuPage and to making sure our County remains the premier place to live, play and raise a family.
